Not Achieving Your Goals?
Here is some great advice from one of my mentors, Gerry Cramer. Gerry is a highly successful Internet Marketer, and he is a wonderful person, wise, humble and giving. He happens to be one of the best Facebook marketers out there today. I think his advice is definitely worth following:
“If you want an ok life, get a job. You’ll receive a paycheck. You may earn OK money. Sleep in a comfortable bed at night. Have an OK relationship. Live in an OK home in an OK neighborhood. And, of course all that’s… OK. But, that’s also not thrilling. It’s not passion. It’s not why we choose to risk absolutely eveything for the smallest chance that we may be part of something amazing!
And trust me, you can have anything you want in this life. And I do mean anything. If you’re telling yourself you can’t have it… that is your own limiting belief. I have overcome pretty much every limiting belief I have ever had. And I had a lot of them.
Once you overcome your limiting beliefs your life can be truly amazing!
But before that can happen there is something you must accept. You must accept that life doesn’t owe you anything… that you’re not special. You don’t just show up and they start handing out golden tickets to paradise. That’s not how it works.
You know who succeeds?
Focused people succeed.
Only the most dedicated, focused and committed will succeed at almost ANYTHING worth fighting for. You MUST be focused, and develop the areas your focus brings you to. You MUST take massive action at anything you do. You MUST stay focused… identify the RIGHT goal [for you]. And, stay focused on that goal. Don’t get distracted. It takes self-control and a developed mindset to pull this off.
And, you MUST be dedicated. You can’t give up too soon on your goals.
Remember, we don’t start out as a highly developed, perfect warrior capable of taking on an Army. We get there in time and through hard work, focus and unfailing commitment.
Hard truth: If you want an amazing life you have to work hard and overcome YOURSELF… your biggest obstacle to success is yourself. And, no, it won’t be easy.
No one can hand you success. No tool or “system” is going to make lazy or unfocused people succeed. You can’t continue to complain and blame others for your failures and expect that to do you any good. People who blame their failures on external circumstances almost always fail.
So, you MUST rely on yourself. Challenge yourself. Realize that if you’re failing it’s because of you and only you. It may be difficult to accept but just know you can do it. You can change. You can evolve. You can develop yourself in to a successful person.
How? It’s not rocket science but you have to know the answers
1. Get a Mentor [or 2 or 3]. Someone who is already living the life you aspire to someday live. Ask them questions. Receive their guidance. Value it. Use it to grow.
2. Do what they say and take MASSIVE action on your goals.
3. Stay laser focused and never allow yourself to get distracted. Don’t buy into every single shiny object you see flashed in front of your eyes. You have a plan. You’re focused. Let everything else go.
4. Follow through! That’s a simple one. Most times success comes right after everyone else gives up. 95% of people give up. You don’t. They fail. You succeed. It’s true.
5. Believe in yourself. Know that the world is abundant with wealth. You can achieve any level of success you set your mind to. Believe it and receive it.
6. Surround yourself with like-minded people, successful people and people who believe in you. Go to self-development events. Attend or start your own mastermind.
7. Leverage. Leverage the creative ideas, minds and energy of intelligent, motivated people who share a similar interest to your own. You may think you can but, you won’t make it alone.
8. Know what you want in life. Don’t chase just the money. Know what matters to yourself. If you don’t know your WHY, you won’t last long. You’ll lose focus.
9. Bring Value to others. If you are in it for the wrong reasons, you will fail eventually and you’ll feel empty inside. Make sure whatever you do is for honorable reasons and that you’re bringing real value to people who need your help.
10. Never give up! Never give up! Never give up! There is no such thing as failure. There is only feedback. If something didn’t work, you learned something and now you can try it another way.
[And If at first (2nd, and 3rd) you don’t succeed, FIND ANOTHER WAY! Remember, you don’t have to do things the same way that everyone else does it. If you find another , better way to do something, that’s called INNOVATION.]
If you need a direction… a blue print for financial success… a mentor, someone who can guide you along the way and help you find answers when you need them… or want an opportunity to rub shoulders and create friends with other successful people… then PM me. I can set you in the right direction.
The short and sweet answer is that, yeah, of course most people fail because most people won’t follow instructions, aren’t focused or committed and then they make excuses and give up.
But, that’s not going to be you, right!?
Good luck! Now let’s get out there and be successful together!”
